Dark and Darker is available in its playtest mode, and already around 45 thousand people are playing this game on steam. In the Playtest, the game has already shown that surviving through the game won’t be a cakewalk. However, if you have been playing the playtest, you have seen the Leaderboard for sure. That’s a confusing board, but this guide will help you know how Leaderboard works in Dark and Darker.
What is Leaderboard in Dark and Darker- How it Works?
Leaderboards always denote some competition where players rank based on their scores. In Dark and Darker, the High-Roller Leaderboard works similarly. If you have been playing the game and grinding through it, you have probably collected lots of treasures, killed multiple enemies, and escaped several times safely. The game tracks all these things and places players on the Leaderboard based on that. This competitive board encourages players to play the game more and more to rank up to the top.
If you see the image above, you’ll see the Leaderboard has several categories-
- Veteran Adventurer
- Treasure Collector
- Killer Outlaw
- Escape Artist
- Lich Slayer
- Ghost King Slayer
All these names themselves say why they rank up players. For example, Veteran Adventurer list players based on the adventure scores of the players. The Adventure Score is earned by killing enemies, looting treasures, killing monsters, opening chests, etc. So basically, almost every activity you do inside the dungeon is included in the Adventurer Score. The more Adventurer Score you have, the more you rank up on the Veteran Adventurer Leaderboard.
Similarly, the more new treasures you can collect from the dungeon, the higher you will be placed on the Treasure Hunter Leaderboard. Killer Outlaw scores are earned by killing more PvP enemies in the High-Roller dungeons. Escape Artist scores are earned by escaping successfully from the dungeon. The more time you escape from a dungeon, the more you are placed higher on the Leaderboard. Lich Slayer Leaderboard enlists players who have killed the Lich Boss, most often at the bottom of the dungeon.
These are the Leaderboards you can see in Dark and Darker. These Leaderboards show the rank, name, class, and score of the players, so other players can see how much score they lack to be placed on a specific rank. As you play and score more in these categories, you’ll go upper in the ranks on the leaderboards.
That’s all you need to know about how High-Roller Leaderboards work in Dark and Darker. The Leaderboard motivates the competitive players to play more to rank up their position.
