While playing Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted update, some players have reported their game to crash or not load while acquiring items in the Tower where vendor Banshee-44 is located. This issue seems to be prevalent across all platforms, but more so for PC and the PS5.
Users have reported that using Telesto or interacting with the weapon while purchasing it from Banshee or otherwise causes the system to crash
It is not known why this happens, but Bungee has released a statement saying that they are aware of the issue, and that they are working on it.
They have yet not revealed an ETA on the fix, or when the next patch update will be released. But if you are still experiencing the error, there are some things you can do. You can try to partially load the Tower by opening the Destinations/Director tab again and loading the scene. This will disable all the NPCs from showing up, but you can still interact and buy items from them. This hack also works for players who get blacked out screens while trying to get to the Tower.
