So you are outside battling monsters when suddenly you realize the sun is about to rise. This just takes out the fun of the game, as you now have to return home and wait till nighttime again. Luckily, one day cycle only lasts 15 or 20 minutes, and since the game is always online, time will pass by rather quickly. Instead of letting your vampire just waste the time away, you can put it to sleep to replenish itself. That way, it is not always idle time in the castle, and you can step away for some time till night falls again.
Whether you can skip the day and night cycle, since the game is always online, and there is no pause option available yet, you cannot skip time for now. Hopefully in the future, if there is an offline mode, then there can be a possibility of pausing the game and changing the time.
