Luckily, one day cycle only lasts 15 or 20 minutes, and since the game is always online, time will pass by rather quickly. Instead of letting your vampire just waste the time away, you can put it to sleep to replenish itself. That way, it is not always idle time in the castle, and you can step away for some time till night falls again.
