Garlic Exposure is a real thing, and as a Vampire, you best be wary of it. In this guide, we will see how to gain resistance to Garlic and remove Garlic Debuff in V Rising.

How to Gain Resistance to Garlic, Reduce Garlic Debuff – V Rising

While exploring your first human settlements in Dunley Farmlands, you might come across homes having garlic pods tied to their entrances. Staying here for longer will increase damage received and stack up Garlic Debuff. Here we will see how to gain resistance to garlic and remove debuff in V Rising.

A garlic debuff on your Vampire will reduce damage inflicted by 0.5%, and increase damage received by 1% per stack. This is not a good deal, and the longer you linger around garlic-infested areas, the higher the stack, leading you to receive even 100% damage and inflict 50% less damage. There are a few ways you can try to get rid of it.

If you are hit with multiple stacks of Garlic Debuff already, you should first try to wait it out. It takes 20 seconds to remove one Garlic Debuff without any resistance potions. With 90 garlic resistance, you can get rid of 4 stacks in under 20 seconds. Using the Bear form coupled with some consumables can help bring it down quicker.

Another way is to have consumables before venturing out, like Minor Garlic Resistance Brew and Garlic Resistance Potion. Consumables will give you a temporary buff, helping you explore without worry. But a more long-lasting solution is to equip oneself with garlic resistance gear. The Hunter’s Cloak and Beatrice’s Scarf are some of the early game equipment that will give you Garlic Resistance. Also, unlocking the Bear form will give you increased resistance by 25%. So coupling all the above before heading out will help you reduce the debuff enough to not inflict great damage on you.
