Twilight Snapper is one of the hardest resources to find. You can find it in particular places, and you need it to summon Putrid Rat Boss. Putrid Rat Boss is a level 30 Blood Boss and pretty challenging to defeat. Though Snapper is a sea fish in our real world, Twilight Snapper can be found in the ponds, and players must have Fishing Rod to catch them. Currently, there is no alternative to getting Twilight Snapper except for fishing.
The Fishing Rod needs to be unlocked by defeating Rufus the Foreman Blood Boss. Upon beating him, you will unlock the process to craft Fishing Rod. This crafting method requires a Woodworking Bench that you need to craft using 60 Animal Hide and 12 Planks. Once you have set up the Woodworking Bench, you need 4 Copper Ingots, 4 Coarse Thread, and 8 Planks to craft Fishing Rod.
Once you have the Rod, equip it and look for the blue marks on the map indicating water sources. Go near any pond and left-click on the Rod to activate fishing. There is no particular time to catch Twilight Snapper. You can get it anytime. According to some players, ponds in Farmlands contain better chances to get Twilight Snapper than any other location. However, we don’t know if it is true or not because Twilight Snapper spawns rarely. But you can try; probably, you’ll get a Twilight Snapper if you are lucky.
