What We Learn from the Official Version 3.0 Trailer
We learn about the disappearance of the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata who is supposedly the “original” and more revered Dendro archon. The Lesser Lord Kusanali is a relatively new Dendro archon and it seems like there are still many who don’t accept her role as the Archon of Dendro and Sumeru- to the point they won’t even celebrate an important Sumeru festival dedicated to the Dendro archon.
We also see how Nilou ties in majorly to this Sumerian festival and how she continues dancing despite the hopelessness of the situation. The trailer hints at some Fatui involvement with the voice lines and the technology that draws energy from the Ley Lines. We even perhaps see a form of Dottore in his combat form but it’s still unsure as to who that is. The only other major characters featured in this trailer other than the Traveller and Nilou are Collei, Tighnari and Dori.
Tighnari also tells us a bit about the Withering and how it originates deep into the earth. The trailer also heavily features a glowing tree that is said to be the culmination of the previous Dendro Archon’s power and wisdom. This tree also looks similar to what we saw in the Promotional Video for Sumeru and in Fatui’s Eulogy to La Signora where all the Fatui Harbingers are featured.
As for the events that are dropping in Version 3.0, they are called Graven Innocence, Tablet Analytics, Lost Riches and Fays Trials which will require their own article to elaborate. The leaks that were confirmed are the two artifact sets– Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams, the craftable Sumeru weapons and the new bow weapons Hunter’s Path (5-star) and End of the Line (4-star fish-themed bow). The Special Program Livestream should be dropping soon too.
