Sumeru is all but confirmed to drop in Genshin Impact 3.0 and the leaks have been hyping up the players for quite a while now. Earlier in another article we leaked some upcoming weapon models from Sumeru and today we finally have their passive abilities and main stats.
Leaked 4-Star Craftable Weapons
The above leak shows that the billet changes in the Sumeru region. Instead of Northlander, we’ll be getting familiar with Midlander billets which will most likely be given to us through various Sumeru world quests.
Players will expectedly receive Sumeru craftable weapons as we have for every other region in the game. These weapons will likely have their blueprints locked behind various Sumeru quests which players will have to complete to obtain. Their crafting materials will also perhaps require specific Sumeru ores which we are yet to know anything about. These weapons will all be focused on Dendro-based reactions and damage so players can look forward to using and testing them in Sumeru.
The leaks below also showcase the changed designs in the beta which is mainly a change in the color palette of the weapons with the overall designs remaining the same.
King’s Squire- 4-star Bow
This 4-star ATK% bow buffs elemental mastery from its passive and also deals a certain percentage of ATK when its passive effect ends. Players will probably have to keep the bow-user on field until the duration of this weapon’s passive as it’s removed immediately if we switch out to another character.
Timber Blade- 4-Star Sword
This 4-star energy recharge weapon grants elemental mastery buffs from its passive when Dendro elemental reactions are triggered. The weapon suits a support unit as its effect triggers even if the character equipping it is not on-field. This weapon is likely for Dendro support characters who can boost elemental reaction damage in a short burst-dps role.
Forest Regalia- 4-Star Claymore
This 4-star claymore is another energy recharge weapon and it has the same passive as the sword above. Its numbers are of course expected to be adjusted later to suit the claymore gameplay and playstyle.
Fruit of Fulfillment- 4-Star Catalyst
Another 4-star support catalyst with ATK% main stat, this weapon, compared to the bow, still shows support viability as its effects stay even when the equipping character is switched out. The catalyst passive buffs elemental mastery while debuffing ATk% quite ironically perhaps because the elemental reactions will be transformative in nature thus removing the need for ATK stat. Each ‘Wax and Wane’ stack will also be lost if no elemental reactions are triggered in 6 seconds so players will have to watch out for the optimal rotation to make full use of this weapon.
Moonpiercer- 4-Star Polearm
This 4-star polearm has the same passive as the 4-star sword and claymore except for two key differences. The first is that its main stat is elemental mastery instead of elemental recharge. This is perhaps designed keeping in mind the fast attack speed of claymore characters and thus increased rate of reactions it can thus trigger. The second difference is that upon triggering Dendro elemental reactions, this polearm buffs ATK% instead of elemental mastery like the sword or claymore. This makes this weapon more of a DPS weapon than a support one.
With these leaks, players can familiarise themselves with their specific functions and effects and prepare likewise whether to invest in them or not. Of course, we won’t know any of their full potentials until we experience for ourselves the element of Dendro and Dendro reactions in the game so their effectiveness, usability, and role are still speculation at best. Besides, as per leaks, we are only getting Dendro bow units in Update 3.0 so players can ignore the other weapon types for now.
