Sumeru is only about 3 weeks away and with all the latest previews and leaks, players are more than excited for Update 3.0 to drop. However, excitement can sometimes distract us from our Genshin homework before any new region. Below are some essential things to do before Sumeru drops so that you can experience the new region to its fullest extent without having to get stuck in long tedious grinding sessions.
8 Essential Tips Before Starting Sumeru in Genshin Impact
While some of these things you may be doing already they’re still important to mention. Below are 8 essential things to do before Sumeru drops in Genshin Impact Version 3.0
1. Farm Hero’s Wit and Mora:
Use all your resin for farming your Ley Lines and gather up as much Hero’s Wit and Mora before Sumeru drops. Sumeru weapons, artifacts and above all Dendro characters will need these as soon as you obtain them.
2. Farm Mystic Enhancement Ores
If you’ve been diligently collecting your ores then this shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure to obtain at least 20 Mystic Enhancement Ores from your local blacksmith every day.
3. Save your Artifact Strongboxes
If you’re a Spiral Abyss player then make sure to not open your artifact strongboxes after clearing a floor. Save up on your 4 and 5 star artifact strongboxes for obtaining Dendro artifacts when Sumeru finally drops.
4. Save your Fodder Artifacts
You’ll need your fodder artifacts to level up your Dendro artifacts.
5. Save your EM Artifacts
Before Sumeru, only Anemo units had any primary use for Elemental Mastery artifacts but with all the new leaks about Sumeru, it’s looking like Dendro will be heavily reliant on EM for its reactions. So if you still have EM-based artifacts, lock them and save them for Dendro characters.
6. Farm Fungus Materials
These enemies are introduced in the Chasm and as of now no characters or weapons have any use for them so we can only assume these are Sumerian enemies and will be used for Sumerian characters. It’s wise to farm them beforehand so that we aren’t stuck with grinding them when Sumeru drops.
7. Save Dust of Azoth
Dust of Azoth is the material you’ll need to transmute crystals of one element to that of another. Since Dendro is a brand new element and we have none of it, chances are we’ll need lots of this material if we want to quickly and efficiently level up our new Dendro characters.
8. Complete Pending Archon Quests
When Sumeru drops you don’t want to be rushing to complete your previous questlines to access or complete Sumerian quests. Complete your pending quests, especially Archon Quests, so that when Sumeru drops you can experience those to the fullest.
Do your dailies regularly and make sure to not skip out on your farming so that you can chill and explore when Sumeru drops.
