To find Growlithe, you need to visit the mines and rocky areas of Paldea. There are a few areas where they are known to spawn more frequently and that is in South Province (Area Three), East Province (Areas Two and Three), and North Province (Area Two). If you check the area marked on the map above, you might bump into a Growlithe. While they are not too common, they are not too rare either, as they have guaranteed spawn points here.
As for Arcanine, you would have more trouble finding this Pokémon if you don’t want to evolve your Growlithe. You can spot an Arcanine in North Province (Area One and Two). You can also check the spot above to find it. Arcanine is quite rare to find, rarer than Growlithe, so you would be better off evolving Growlithe instead.
To evolve Growlithe into Arcanine, you need a Fire Stone. You can purchase a Fire Stone from the Delibird Presents shops across Paldea, but you need 3 Gym Badges first before the option comes up. Once you have the Fire Stone, give it to Growlithe to evolve it to Arcanine. You don’t need Growlithe to be a certain level for this, and you can do this even if it is at level 1.
