Pokémon Scarlet and Violet both have exclusive Pokémon, and you can get them in secluded areas of Paldea. Most of the exclusive Pokémon can be found post-game, so there is something to do once you complete the main storylines. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can catch Paradox Pokémon, which are unique Pokémon that have a style resembling the version it is in. One of the Paradox Pokémon you can catch is Iron Thorns. In this guide, we will see how to get this Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – How to Catch Iron Thorns
Iron Thorns is known as Paradox Tyranitar, as it closely resembles Tyranitar but has a futuristic design. Iron Thorns is exclusive to Pokémon Violet, and here we will see how to catch this Pokémon.
You can only get Iron Thorns after completing the game. During the post-game, you will unlock an area called Area Zero beside the Great Crater. There are three Research Centers here surrounded by cliffs and grasslands. You have to explore the grasslands to find Iron Thorns, it can be anywhere between these Research Stations. You can mostly find them on the sloppy terrains of the mountains, so if you find a way to get up, you can encounter them.
Iron Thorns is a Rock/ Electric type Pokémon, and while it does resemble Tyranitar, it does not evolve from it. Iron Thorns have multiple spawns across this region, so you can catch more if you come across them.
