There are only a few Pokémon that can effectively take down Cinderace solo. One of the best ones you can use is Slowbro since Slowbro is a Water and Psychic-type Pokémon. This makes Slowbro’s move’s highly effective when used on Cinderace while mitigating Cinderace’s Fire and Fighting attacks. Below is the best build to use on Slowbro.
Best Slowbro Moveset and Build
- Slack Off/ Chilling Water/ Psychic Terrain
- Iron Defense
- Nasty Plot
- Stored Power
- Tera Type: Psychic
- Held Item: Life Orb/ Leftovers
- Nature: Modest
- EV Spread: 252 HP/ 252 Special Attack/ 4 Defense
While in the Cinderace Tera Raid battle, start by using Iron Defense on Slowbro to increase its Defense stat, then follow that with Nasty Plot to increase its special attack stat. Keep repeating the above two moves for three turns, using Iron Defense first for three turns, followed by Nasty Plot. You can also use Slack Off in between to restore HP or Chilling water to bring down Cinderace’s attack stat.
If the boosts get nullified by Cinderace, then you should try again till you get x3 the special attack and defense. After that, use Stored Power to tackle Cinderace. If you have Psychic Terrain equipped, you can use that first to double the attack that Stored Power will inflict. Life Orb can help boost Slowbro’s attacks, but you can swap that with Leftovers if you are worried about HP loss.
Having modest nature will further increase Slowbro’s special attack stat, and having a Psychic tera type will inflict more damage while using Stored Power. As for why Slowbro does not have a chosen ability, it doesn’t matter which ability it has, so you can use Slowbro if it has Oblivious or Own Tempo.
