There are certain ways to ensure you get the rare eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Stick with the guide and we will show you how to identify and find these eggs so you can have an advantage in the game.

How to Get Rare Eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2

To get rare eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2, you need to search in the right dens. The only way to get any kind of egg in the game is by visiting monster dens. There are several tell-tale signs that indicate the quality of the egg such as the color of the monster den, the color of the egg itself, and what your companion has to say about the egg.

Whenever you find an egg, your Felyne friend would have something to say about it, so pay close attention. The words you want to hear from your companion are a nice smell and heavy egg. It means the egg is of higher gene and thus, would generate a rare monster when hatched.

Finding the monster dens is not a tough task, they are all around the village. Grey dens indicate the home of common monsters, so you will get common eggs. Whereas, rare monster dens are colored gold. You can find both gold and rainbow eggs in there depending on your luck and some RNG.

You can only take one egg out of the den, so if your carry capacity is full, swap an egg, but doing it too often can trigger an attack. Once you take an egg out of the den, it’s yours and you can hatch it.
