God of War is a popular action-adventure game that allows players to explore 9 Realms. The game starts in Midgard, and after a certain point, Kratos and Atreus can travel through different realms. But these Realms are not pre-unlocked. As players progress through the main story and complete some quests and side-quests, they can unlock Realms in God of War.
This guide will discuss how to unlock Realms in God of War.
How to Unlock Every Realm in God of War
There are several Realms in God of War except for Midgard. For example- Alfheim (home of the light and dark elves), Helheim (it is the underworld in Norse), Muspelheim (homeland of the fire giants), Jotunheim (homeland of the giants), Niflheim (it is the icy and mysterious Realm), Asgard (home to the Aeseir God), Svartalfheim (land of the Dwarves), and Vanaheim (the Realm of the Vanir gods). These are the Realms available in God of War. Players can’t reach every Realm, though.
Players can access six realms, including Midgard. Alfheim, Helheim, and Jotunheim are part of the main story. So, you don’t need to unlock them. Instead, you can access them as you progress through the main quest. Midgard is the Realm, from where you start your journey. The remaining two Realms- Muspelheim and Niflheim should be unlocked using Language Ciphers. Players need four Ciphers. The first three can be easily acquired from Midgard, but the last one is tricky to get. Kratos and Atreus need to reach a certain point in the main quest to get the Cipher.
The rest of the Realms can’t be accessed. Therefore, that’s all you need to know to unlock the Realms. If you are also curious to know how to unlock different realms in God of war, check out our guide for help.
