Though Asgard is widely mentioned in the game, you should know that the region is locked, even after completing the game. Other regions can eventually be unlocked, but Asgard is not one of them. Though it may be tempting that even after completing the main mission and side quests, that there might be a small chance, but so far there is none in the game.
While opening the travel room in Tyr’s Tower, you will have an option to select Asgard, but you won’t have any access after clicking it. Any realm that says that you are prevented from entering this realm by Odin and that the travel rune will not work either, means that is it not possible to enter at this point.
We would just have to wait for the new God of War game to know what awaits you in Asgard, if there is ever a chance to go there and visit Odin, Thor, and all the other Aesir Gods.
