Sinking your Ship in Sea of Thieves
To sink a ship as quickly as possible is to vote to sink a ship.
- Visit the Options menu on Xbox and Esc on PC.
- Then select the My Team option.
- Then, at the bottom, pick Yes for Scuttle Ship.
Corral voting works similarly to throwing someone in prison. Therefore, the one with the most votes wins. When you vote to scuttle the ship, it begins to sink, along with any valuables or wealth aboard. If you choose to sink the ship, you will lose everything on it, so make sure you don’t have anything valuable on it.
Following the ship’s sinking, a mermaid will appear in the nearby ocean and transport you to the nearest island or outpost. Your ship will also return with whatever alterations you made before departing. Scuttling your ship will assist you in getting out of a jam or avoiding opponents that will not leave you alone.
What are the other ways to Sink a Ship?
If your team isn’t on board with your decision to sink the ship, you can always take matters into your own hands. Though going rogue may be a little difficult, if your team members don’t agree with your decision, they could put you in time-out.
To sink the ship, you’ll need to be close to land or another vessel so you can fire a cannon at your own ship. If you’re not near land or another ship, you can try to flood the ship by scooping water into buckets and pouring it into the boat.
