How to Get Trident of Dark Tides in Sea of Thieves

While you can find most weapons in the armory, the Trident of Dark Tides is different. You have to explore the overworld to get this weapon. Defeating enemies is one of the best ways to get the Trident, and they can be dropped from Megalodon, Kraken, and the Siren Leader. Exploring the shoreline of islands and shipwrecks will also help drop this weapon at random times.
If you want a surefire way of getting the Trident, then completing the Tall Tales will help you get your hands on it. Besides that, Barrels of Plenty, Skeleton Fort Vaults, and Siren Treasuries will also carry the Trident of Dark Tides.
How to Use Trident of Dark Tides in Sea of Thieves

You can use the primary use key to charge the trident, and the secondary use key will aim the staff. The longer you hold the primary key, the bigger the bubble charge will be. But with it, the energy bubble will also travel slower because of its size. Letting go of the primary key early will release a small bubble, which will travel fast but deal less damage. If you continue to hold the charge, it will turn into a medium bubble, and eventually, turn into a large bubble at the end.

You can cancel the charge anytime by dropping the trident, and releasing the primary key will release the bubble. If you drop the trident, it will not use up any of the charge left. There are 30 charges available, and after you have used them up, the trident will crumble to dust. Below is the amount of damage each of the bubble types will deal
- Small bubble: 30 damage. Takes up one charge. Has little or no blast radius.
- Medium bubble: 60 damage. Takes up two charges and has a medium blast radius.
- Large bubble: 90 damage. Takes up 3 charges. Has a large blast radius.
You should ensure that you have enough charges left to summon a medium to large bubble. If you have less than 2 charges left totally, then you can only summon a small bubble.
