Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a 2012 multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists battle against one another in objective-based games. Terrorists detonate a bomb while Counter-Terrorists try to stop them, or Counter-Terrorists try to rescue hostages taken by Terrorists.
The ghost knife isn’t supposed to exist in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, yet skilled players may summon it.
In CSGO, the ghost knife is one of a few concealed knife skins. Instead of being a Steam inventory item that may be used in-game, this skin is buried in the files and is not intended for user usage. Players may, however, obtain it in-game by utilising a specific set of console instructions.
Here’s how to use the ghost knife in CSGO and what makes it unique.

Equipping and Using Ghost Knife in CS:GO
Here’s a brief rundown on how to equip the ghost knife in a private CSGO server.
Enter the following instructions into the developer console.
- sv_cheats 1
- give weapon_knife_ghost
- Drop your knife!
- ent_fire weapon_knife addoutput “classname weapon_knifegg”
- mp_drop_knife_enable 1
- mp_items_prohibited 0
After entering all of these commands, your normal knife should be replaced by a ghostly version of the Flip Knife. In terms of utility, the item is identical to a standard knife. It takes two left clicks and one right click to kill, and it even works on helpless bots for backstabs.
Of course, because it needs the usage of multiple console commands, the ghost knife cannot be equipped in any public CSGO matches. It is only possible on private servers. While it is not the most necessary item to know in CSGO, it is a fun cheap gimmick to do during in-house games.
