Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter created by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment that was released in 2012. Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists compete in objective-based games against one other. Terrorists plant a bomb as Counter-Terrorists attempt to stop them, or Counter-Terrorists attempt to rescue hostages seized by Terrorists.
Aim and utility knowledge are essential for being the greatest at Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but an Nvidia filter can also offer you an advantage.
Nobody enjoys dying in CSGO, and nothing is worse than being shot by someone lying directly in front of you. Finding the very top of someone’s head on a stairway or through an unusual angle might be difficult, but a specific approach can help. Players using Nvidia graphics cards can use their own graphics settings to help them identify opponents.
Here’s the best Nvidia filter for CSGO and how to customize it.

Best Nvidia Filter Settings for CS:GO
It should be noted that Nvidia filters cannot be used for Valve’s official CSGO matchmaking. Nvidia filters can be used on third-party matching services such as FACEIT and when starting the game in untrusted mode. Because GeForce Experience is third-party software, it requires some effort to get it up and operating in standard CSGO.
After starting the game,
- Go to an empty map and press Alt and F3.
- This brings up the Nvidia filter menu.
- Then, select one of the three profiles to add or remove filters.
- A good place to start is with brightness and contrast.
- By brightening the surroundings, it gets easier to notice opponents in dark regions, such as Dust 2, catwalk into tunnels.
- The highlights in the sample below are set to 20%, the contrast to 15%, and the shadows to 20%.
The Sharpen filter may also significantly influence the appearance of your game and how simple it is to notice foes. The example below shows the sharpening function to 40% for the left side. On the right is standard CSGO.
This filter makes it much easier to identify opposing players hiding behind the cover. Extra honing makes the bench and chair on Mirage B far less dangerous. Certain textures, such as the wooden planks, appear crisper.
Making Your Own Nvidia Filter
If neither of these solutions appears to be the ideal fit for you, you may use them as a starting point and adjust them yourself. To test Nvidia filters without joining a FACEIT match, add the following lines to your CSGO launch command.
-untrusted -permit third-party software
- Then, browse to the Steam folder on your PC.
- Click on user data.
- Click the folder corresponding to your profile ID, followed by 730, local, and cfg.
The top file browser should read something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*Your Steam ID*\730\local\cfg
Then, in Notepad, open the trustedlaunch file and change the line that says “0x1” to “0xe” before saving. When you launch CSGO, your custom Nvidia filters should start working.
