While playing on Road to the Show, you have the option to create Ballplayers for your team. If you are looking to increase their rankings, it’s fairly simple. You will just have to play the game to keep earning XP for your Ballplayer. The better your score the more it will have an impact on the overall rating. If you instead make a bad throw or swing, you will score negative points and this will negatively impact your ratings.
In case you feel like you are not being able to improve your Ballplayer, try changing up the difficulty so that you will be able to make better scores. You can also change your playstyle interface and test it out in the Custom Practice room to see which style works best for you.
From time to time, you will also receive certain Dynamic Challenges. These challenges are goals that you can complete to get rewards, which also include boosting your ratings. Also, if you are playing as a Two Way Player, you get a choice to play on Off Days. These include playing in the Bullpen, Training Facility, Batting Cage, and Practice Field. These are just minigames that will help increase certain attributes.
