The first episode of The Last of Us TV show is here, and the storyline follows the plot of the gameplay almost accurately. Since the episodes will be airing weekly, there is no idea when the ones after the next will appear, or how many episodes the series will have. Since the show will follow the plotline from the game closely, there should be plenty of episodes left to keep fans on their toes.
Currently, it is known that there will be 9 episodes in total in The Last Of Us season 1. The entire episode list is not revealed yet, but we do know that episode 2 will be out next Sunday, January 22nd, and episode 3 will air the following Sunday, January 29th. The story follows the lives of Joel and Ellie as they make their way through the infected lands of the United States. The show will also feature other characters from the game, such as Tommy (Gabriel Luna), Tess (Anna Torv), and Bill (Nick Offerman). While the show stays true to the video game adaptation, the year and timeline are different. The show is set in the current time (2023) while the game’s plot takes place in the future (2033).
The TV show is being co-directed by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and the creator of The Last of Us video game, Neil Druckmann. It is claimed that the show will follow the source material closely, so it will be a true video game adaptation made for the big screen.
