Bill played an important role in the Last of Us game series, and now he is personified in the HBO TV show by the same title as well. Bill helped Joel and Ellie leave his town safely in the game, although he chose to stay back and survive through the infected. We were also briefly introduced to Frank, who was once close to Bill but has left the world since. It was a heartbreaking moment for Bill to find that out, and the scene will be carried out in the TV show as well. Here we will see who will portray Bill and Frank in the Last of Us TV show.
Bill is a handy craftsman who acquired a town and fortified it against the infected using makeshift traps and contractions. Joel and Ellie met with Bill when they tried to take refuge in his safehouse while trying to outrun the infected. Bill also helped them acquire ammo and weapons, as well as a vehicle, for their treacherous journey ahead. When asked if he would like to escape with them, he chose to stay back and fight the infected. After Joel and Ellie’s departure, he was never seen again, and one could only hope that he had survived the onslaught of the infected.
As for Frank, he was known as Bill’s ride-or-die but committed suicide after getting infected. Bill and Frank managed the town singlehandedly, braving the onslaught together for 20 years. In the game, Joel finds the letter addressed to Bill from Frank while scavenging for supplies in their home, and while it did bring Bill some closure, it left many questions unanswered.
Bill will be played by Parks and Recreation fame Nick Offerman, while Frank will be portrayed by Murray Bartlett, who played Armond in The White Lotus.
