Diablo Immortal has launched on Android and iOS. For PC players, you need to wait another day before the game is playable using the Battle.Net launcher. The launch of the game has been smooth with no major issues, but some players are reporting that they are unable to merge the guest account with the Battle.Net account. Players are facing all kinds of issues while merging the account. You can still play the game via the Guest account and merge with the B.Net account to save the progress permanently. But, due to Diablo Immortal unable to merge Battle.Net account issue, many players are at risk of losing progress. If you have run into the issue, there is something you can do.
Diablo Immortal – How to Fix Unable to Merge Battle.Net Account
Users are getting all kinds of errors and crashes when they attempt to connect the game to the Battle.Net account. One of the most reported errors in the game suggests the current and the existing Battle.net accounts are in different reasons. The two error messages users are getting are:
- “We’ve encountered an error while attempting to connect your accounts. We are unable to connect your accounts.”
- “We are unable to merge your accounts as they are in different regions. The accounts were created in different regions.”
One of the main reasons for this error may be that you created the Battle.Net account and have since moved to a new region.
Before we talk about the solution, you should know that the devs are aware of the problem and looking on fixing it ASAP. The solution if you accept to go forward with it will have all your current progre4ss lost. So, if you have made significant progress, then wait for the devs to fix the issue. And if you want it fixed right now, just create a new Battle.Net account and use it to play the game. Note, the progress in the new Battle.Net account cannot be transferred to the other account so you will be stuck with the new account you make.
The other solution you can try, which may be more acceptable if you have made decent progress in the game is to change the country of your Battle.Net account. You can use this link to change the country of the account.
The above two are not the only solution you can try. Creating a new account should be your last option after you have exhausted others. If you are unable to merge accounts in Diablo Immortal, try to restart the smartphone. Once the phone starts, open the game and it will ask you to log in. Use the Battle.Net account and with some luck, you will get past the problem. But, if you made any progress as a Guest, it will be lost.
There is also a Diablo Immortal Unable to Merge Battle.Net Account bug that makes the game think you are in a different region when actually you are not. There is no known fix for this, but the devs are working on a fix so you can wait for that.
