While exploring the USG Ishimura, you will encounter objectives that can only be solved via puzzles. Some of them are easy to figure out, but you might encounter some other puzzles to solve that will require critical thinking. One of the puzzles you will come across is in Chapter 4: Obliteration Imminent, which requires you to calibrate ADS cannons to shoot incoming asteroids in zero gravity. You have to be quick while completing this challenge, or else your ship will take damage. Here we will see how to calibrate the ADS cannons in Dead Space Remake.

To calibrate the three ADS cannons, you need to manually power up the turrets and shoot 10 asteroids, and do all this in zero gravity. You should also be warned that there is a time limit and a damage meter to keep an eye on, and if you run out of time, and oxygen or the ship receives too much damage, the game is over.
To start, walk down towards the ADS cannons and deactivate your magnetic boots to float towards the first cannon. You can find it on your left, near the entrance. Interact with the yellow panel to start the turret. You now have control over the turret, and the asteroids will start flying by.
To shoot down the asteroids, aim at them using the L2 (controller) or the right button (mouse), then shoot by pressing X/ A (controller) or E (keyboard). Keep an eye on the calibration meter, you need to shoot down 10 asteroids. Once you reach the requirement, you can move on to the next one.
If you are running low on oxygen, you can find refill stations along the way, on your left and right. The next ADS cannon can be found a little further ahead, on your right. Follow the same procedure and calibrate that as well. The final ADS cannon can be found on the far left side. Be careful of enemies that will jump out at you. You can also find the White’s RIG quite close to the cannon.
