Bloom Seeds Guide in Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters – What They Are and How to Get Them

You will need plenty of Bloom Seeds to help you with upgrades and advancing through the campaign, but if you are not sure how to get them, then here we will see how to go about it in Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate.

What Are Bloom Seeds

Bloom Seeds are what is responsible for the Bloom used by the Nurgles. Each bloom seed is color-coded to indicate how corrupted the planet is. The various colors are Green, Red, Yellow, Purple, and Blue. The colors also indicate the corruption level, making it more easy or difficult to clear. Collecting these Bloom Seeds will help get rid of the Corruption bit by bit.

Besides reducing the corruption level, Bloom Seeds are also valuable in helping with Research at the Chaos Gate. This is something that Inquisitor Vakir needs to help her understand The Bloom and how to stop it. Collecting these seeds will also help you unlock Master Crafted Armor and Weapons. They can help with the upgrades of various sets for both armory and weapons, making your Grey Knights invincible. And last, you will require Bloom Seeds to help you with story-related research. To progress through the game, you will need to unlock some end-level research, which will require a large amount of Bloom Seeds. Collecting them when you have the chance will enable you to keep going through the game.

How to Get Bloom Seeds

The first way to get Bloom Seeds is to seek out a Seed Carrier. These are enemies you will encounter while on planets, but Bloom Seeds are best extracted from live enemies rather than dead ones. To immobilize Seed Carriers, you will need to land a Critical Hit with any Melee Weapon. You will identify your target by looking at the Bloom symbol above them.

The best way to extract seeds without killing the target is by using the Hammerhand Ability. You can find this ability in Justicar and Interceptor classes. This Psychic Melee attack costs just 2 WP and 1 AP and lands a Critical Hit without killing the target. The second best way is to use the Apothecary’s surgeon skills, which can extract the seeds without the need for critical hits. But you will need to progress a bit further down the Apothecary’s skill tree to unlock this ability.

Unlocking Servo Skulls drones and sending them out to extract seeds is the easiest way to go about it without getting your hands dirty. Sending out Servo Skulls needs only 0 AP and 0 WP, so this is by far the quickest way to get Bloom Seeds. The Apothecary can carry twice the amount of Servo Skulls, so having them on your team would be helpful.

Last, unlocking the Advanced Seed Extraction Research by giving Bloom Seeds to Inquisitor Vakir can increase the number of seed extractions. It will also increase the success rate for extracting Bloom Seeds.
