The Traveller might have increased importance in Sumeru than compared to the other regions we’ve been to in Tevyat. Genshin Impact Version 3.0 ‘The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings’ was recently announced and it is bringing us the new region of Sumeru along with the final element in Genshin Impact’s 7-element system- Dendro.
Since Dendro will be a totally new elemental addition to the game, it’ll take time for us to figure out how its damage and reaction damage scales in comparison to the other elements in the game. Going into Sumeru, the Traveller will be the first Dendro character we unlock, followed by Collei who we will get for free from the Graven Innocence event.
Why It’s Wise to Level Up and Build Your Traveller in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact let us choose one of the two siblings as our main character and there’s a reason why their character cards were changed to make them 5-star units. It’s wise to level up your Traveller in general because you never know which of his elemental forms might actually be great.
There have been rumors floating around that in the future the Traveller might get the option to switch between two of his elements instantly- even when in battle. This might be game-changing for all the possibilities and potential it implies.
As for why this might be the right time to build your Traveller, especially your Electro Traveller for now and Dendro Traveller when you unlock him is because there have been leaks that suggest an upcoming world boss that can only be fought with the Traveller. You don’t want to be grinding for materials and talent books to build your Traveller in the new region of Sumeru. This boss is likely to appear in Version 3.1 or 3.2 so you’ll still have time to build your Dendro Traveller in the meantime.
It’ll also be convenient to have two free characters to test out Dendro with since many of us won’t be pulling for Tighnari or won’t be lucky in our pulls. Exploring the mechanics and strategies of Dendro is thus easier done with two characters than just one.
