The Gulag in Warzone 2 will feature 2v2 fights rather than the 1v1 in Warzone, and whichever team wins can get out of it. Entering the Gulag is the same, you have to die in a match to enter it. You will be paired randomly with any other eliminated player, and all players will receive a predefined loadout. The loadout will contain the following.

  • Pistol/Shotgun
  • A Lethal Grenade
  • A Tactical Grenade

There is additional loot that you can acquire in the Gulag, but those will be placed right at the map’s center. Any look you manage to pick up here can be carried back to the main match if you manage to win.

If you are looking to get out of the Gulag quickly, there is a way to do so. Now, the Gulag will integrate an AI Juggernaut called the Jailer. Instead of the usual flag capture method in the original Gulag, you and the other players will come face to face with the Jailer if things are taking too long. You also have a choice to make here. Either all players team up and take down the Jailer to get out of the Gulag together or seek to eliminate the other players and go for a win. Whichever choice you make will leave you with no consequences if you win. And because the Overtime mechanic is in place, you have to act quickly before the time is up, otherwise, all players will be eliminated if the match is taking too long.
