You will need to start or join a Dark Clan and join the Shadow Faction. Dark Clans are the only ones who can compete to become an Immortal. The primary way a Dark Clan can progress and earn ranks is by battling with other Dark Clans. Dark Clans should also participate in the Path of Blood, Akeba’s Challenge, Raid the Vault, and Contract events to get ranks. There is also a Shadow War that happens twice a week, which gives ample points to the winning team.
The top 10 clans during that cycle, called the Cycle of Strife, will participate in a challenge called the Rite of Exile. This is a 8v8 challenge, where each Dark Clan will send out their top ranking players to compete with 8 Immortal members. This challenge has 10 rounds, and if the Shadow Clan wins the challenge, they will move on to the next event; the Challenge of the Immortal.
Challenge of the Immortal event is a 1v30 PvP challenge, where 30 Shadow members will compete with 1 Immortal. The chosen Immortal will be overpowered to compensate for lack of manpower. If the Shadow Clan emerge victorious, they can select two of the best Shadow players to be hailed as Immortals. There are only 300 Immortals allowed per server, so it is a privilege to be hailed as one. Now, the new Immortals will be tasked with defending their clan when the next cycle approaches.

Once you become an Immortal, there are a few exclusive features that you can get your hands on. Immortals can own crowns called the Eternal Crowns, and only one chosen player will be gifted with it. There are also four smaller crowns for the four chosen Lieutenants. These crowns will give massive buffs in offense and defense to the owners and nearby allies, as well as provide progression.
Immortals can also gain access to Kion’s Ordeal, which is a boss raid that you can unlock by spending Essentia. Each level has stronger bosses, and you can compete as a 4 member or 48 member team. If the Immortals win, they will get rewards and the Blessing of Daedessa buff. If they lose, the buff will be handed over to the Shadow faction.
Besides these, the Immortals can participate in Corvus Expedition and Raid the Vault events as well.
