Just like any other third-person shooter, Sniper Elite 5 has a multiplayer, where you can invade other players or be invaded. In this guide, we will see more about Axis Invasion and how it works in Sniper Elite 5.
Sniper Elite 5’s Axis Invasion—Explained
In Sniper Elite 5’s multiplayer mode called Axis Invasion, you can invade other players’ worlds, or even get invaded. Here we will see what is in store while playing Axis Invasion in Sniper Elite 5.
Axis Invasion mode resembles the invasion strategy of most SoulsBorne series, where players can invade you at random, or you can pop into someone else’s world. The only difference is that no one can tell the invaders apart from the rest of the troops, since there is no outer indication. You can use this to your advantage to blend in and become the best elite Jager sniper there is. If you plan to invade, you cannot select your target, but rather you will be matched with someone of your level. If you are the one invaded, you will get notified of the enemy approaching, but not their exact location. You should try your best to figure them out and end them before they can do the same for you.
The plus side to Axis Invasion is that you and your enemy will receive rewards. Mostly the rewards are cosmetic in nature, and will allow for more weapon skin changes and character customizations.
