Bastion is a Damage hero in Overwatch who wields an arsenal of all three forms: Assault, Recon, and Artillery. However, Bastion received some modifications since coming over to Overwatch 2: Though they haven’t changed much about his capabilities, they have made it a little easier for him to get around when necessary or just catch enemies off guard; think of it as an additional option rather than replacing previous ones.
Though he may not be the tallest or biggest guy on the court, his agility and ability to jump higher than most players (due to his “rocket jump” technique) make him a very unpredictable and formidable opponent. Once you learn how to utilize his “rocket jump properly”, you’ll be able to clear obstacles and reach new heights that other players wouldn’t think possible.

How to do Rocket Jump?
The Bastion rocket jump can be performed by launching an A-36 Tactical Grenade at the ground and walking to the location directly over the grenade. The jump should be executed a few seconds before the grenade explodes. With a bit of practice, you can master the timing of the A-36 Tactical Grenade explosion and use the Bastion rocket jump to your advantage.
Bastion’s rocket jump is an excellent method of getting to higher ledges or second floors in buildings. It can also be used while you have the high ground. To perform this move,
- Launch yourself into the air.
- Switch to tank mode mid-air.
- Land behind the enemy line.
Bastion’s rocket jump is a move that allows the robot to get a bit of extra height or speed. In Overwatch 2, the move still works just as well as it did in the first game. While it isn’t as easy to execute or as effective, it is still a helpful tool. Bastion doesn’t have any abilities that help him move up or down vertically, and he isn’t very mobile in general.
