How to Unlock Base Camo in MW2
Complete 1 to 4 challenges per weapon. You can apply base camo to all weapons if any one weapon has it unlocked.
How to Unlock Gold Camo in MW2
Once you unlock the base camo, you can unlock gold challenges for each weapon to get the gold camo.
How to Unlock Platinum Camo in MW2
Complete the Gold challenges using the required number of guns in the category to unlock Platinum challenges.
How to Unlock Damascus/Polyatomic Camo in MW2
Complete all Platinum challenges using at least 51 weapons. This will unlock the Polyatomic challenge
How to Unlock Obsidian/Orion Camo in MW2
Complete all Polyatomic challenges using at least 51 weapons. This will unlock the Orion challenge.
In totality, you need to use all the guns five times to unlock each camo, which is quite a grind compared to the 2 times per gun requirement in Modern Warfare. To know what the challenges you need to complete per gun to get the camo, you need to head over to your gunsmith, then select create a class and choose the customization option. Select the weapon you wish to unlock a camo for, and scroll over it. You can find the challenge requirements below the gun name. Once you complete it, you can unlock the next set of challenges to get the next type of camo.
