One of the new jobs to drop into FFXIV: Endwalker is Sage, the healing class who has a unique ability to protect their party while they heal by using barriers. It was unveiled that Sage can even heal by attacking or dealing damage to the enemy. You will have to reach level 70 job first if you want to get to Sage.
How to Get Sage in Final Fantasy XIV
Unlocking Sage isn’t as complicated as it sounds, once you have reached a level 70 job. There is a quest called “Sage’s Path”, and to start it you will have to speak to the Sharlayan Maiden. You can find her in the Lower Decks of Limsa Lominsa (coordinates X: 9.4 Y: 12.9). If you are facing difficulties with finding the quest, you can search for a blue colored quest icon that looks like a plus sign. Any icon that looks similar to this will unlock something new, even new job quests. Once you accept the quest, you will be introduced to the main characters of the job. You will also be awarded a full Sage gear, which includes a full level 70 Sage gear, a job crystal, and a level 70 weapon.
After getting all the equipment, at this point it is best to read the tips for each skill and learn more about the job and its operations.
At the end of the cut scene, you should head out to Zephyr Gate. It is located in Middle La Noscea (coordinates X: 20.9, Y: 24.7). You can do this by interacting with Aetheryte/ Aethernet. Once you’ve done that you can select the Zephyr Gate, only after all the Aethernets are found in Limsa Lominsa. You will have to speak with Lalah Jinjahl after the cutscene to complete the quest. At the end, you will receive Bookwyrm’s Attire Coffer, Soul of the Sage, and Stonegold Milpreves. You can equip your new gear in the character menu and change to Sage.
With this, you have completed Sage job. You can further talk to Lalah Jinjahl and accept a new job, “Sage’s Focus”, which will help you have a better understanding of your new job role.
