Activision just announced the fifth and the final season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone will begin from August 24. This season, titled “The Last Stand”, brings back some of the most formidable villains in the entire Call of Duty series. Gamers will play in a volcanic-themed Caldera and get the freedom to determine the fate of the island.
Season 5 will introduce a bunch of new weapons to the game. One of these weapons include a variant of the EM1 from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (2014). However, the version gamers will get to use in Vanguard and Warzone Season 5 is a prototype version of the oroginal weapon. It has been named EX1.
How to unlock the EX1 Energy Rifle in Call of Duty: Vanguard, Warzone, and Vanguard Zombies?
The EX1 Energy Rifle is available as part of the Battle Pass rewards. Gamers can claim this weapon after they have reached tier 15 of the Vanguard and Warzone Season 5 Battle Pass. Gamers do not need to buy the Battle Pass to be eligible to add this weapon to their loadout. It is completely free.
Much like the original EM1 rifle from Advanced Warfare, the EX1 will be an energy Assault rifle. It will come with unlimited ammo. Reloading will be carried out via an overheat mechanic.
According to a blog post published on the Call of Duty website, the EX1 Energy Rifle is “effective at long range.” The weapon comes with an exceptionally high fire rate. However, it is not capable of dealing a lot of damage per shot.
Call of Duty will introduce several attachments for the EX1. The Burst Barrel will transform the energy rifle into a burst weapon. Another attachment, called the Charge Sniper Barrel, will transform the EX1 into a sniper rifle.
The new season unlocks next Wednesday. In this epic finale, operators will seal the fate of Caldera before Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 launch this Fall.
