Madden 22 has been often criticized for being the same game with minor tweaks and this year’s game is no different. But, that’s true for a lot of sports simulators. If you played last year’s Madden title, you know how the game works, but with every title EA does change a few things to make the gameplay better. One of those features is the ability of the player to Spotlight the Receiver. With this feature enabled, you can spotlight an offensive receiver and have your spare defender check him. Stick with the guide and we will show you how to spotlight Receiver in Madden 22.

How to Spotlight Receiver in Madden 22

To spotlight receiver in Madden NFL 22 open the coverage adjustment by pressing Y on Xbox and Triangle on PS. Now, view the individual player by pressing A on Xbox and X on PS. Now, chose the player and confirm by pressing A on Xbox and X on PS again.

That’s it, it’s a quite simple process but knowing it will help you a lot in the game. If there is a spare defender in your lineup he will automatically keep an eye on the receiver who has been spotlighted.

While this is a great feature, you should not overuse it in a game especially when playing against an experienced player simply because it creates a gap in the defense. The defender that leaves the spot to go to the receiver leaves an empty spot that can be spotted and exploited by the opponent.

That’s all we have in this guide, hope it was helpful. Check out the game category for more informative guides and tips to play the game.
