Farthest Frontier is a town-building simulator game where players need to protect their small group of villagers from harsh weather, wild animals, and other dangers to build a beautiful town of their own. The game is now available in early access, and players are excited to dive into the game and explore its features. However, before you progress, the first thing you need to do is to place your base. This guide will help you know how to set your base in Farthest Frontier.
Setting the Base in Farthest Frontier- What Things to Keep in Mind
Base is one of the first things players need to set up as they start the game for the first time. The first time you load Farthest Frontier, players will be taken to the wilderness the villagers have chosen to build their new town. Now, players have to select a suitable spot to place the base to begin their journey toward their new life. This new spot will be indicated by setting the base.
The base comes with its placement preview and grid of the building. Players can move the base from one place to another over the entire map to find the most suitable location. While placing a base, pay attention to the surrounding. For example, check whether the area has water resources (pond or river), food (berries, fish, deer), wild animals, etc. Additionally, you can’t place your base anywhere you want. While moving the base through the map, you’ll find in some places, the grid of the base becomes red. You can’t place the base on those locations. You can set your base when you see the green grid (like the image above).
Once you spot a suitable location to build your town, left-click on that place, and you’ll get an alert to confirm whether you want to place your base there or not (like the image below). Click on ‘Yes’ and place your base there to begin your journey.
That’s all you need to know about placing a base in Farthest Frontier. Once the base is placed, you can use the Harvest menu to send your villagers to cut wood and build the structure.
