How to Defend Efficiently in Farthest Frontier
You have plenty of options early in the game to defend your village from Raiders and animals. Here we will see how to defend your village efficiently in Farthest Frontier.
You would be familiar with most of the defense structures, and you can get them in the early and late games. When you first start playing Farthest Frontier, your Town Center should be your priority build. The Town Center is the main hub for your villagers and also doubles up as a shelter when the need arises. If you notice that your village is under attack, pressing the bell in the Town Center will signal all your villagers to seek shelter inside. While it doesn’t offer protection to everyone, villagers who have made it inside will start to use their bows and arrows to attack. This solution is effective when there are wild animal attacks, but this won’t help against Raiders.

Once the population starts to outgrow the Town Center, you can build Lookout Towers. Guards assigned to these towers will scan an area and alert villagers of impending doom. The guards will also be armed, so if anything comes their way, they will attack with their bows and arrow. If you want more defense and more radius covered, then you can upgrade your Towers to deal more damage. Each upkeep for the Lookout Tower will cost some gold, so you should keep that in mind while building them.
And finally, your last line of defense should be walls and fences. The tougher the wall is, the less likely enemies can penetrate through them. Walls can help slow down the enemy till you can deploy soldiers or guards to take them down. But you should be mindful of where you place your gates on the wall, as villagers will need access to them to go out and in. Upgrading walls will require stone but is worth the investment to keep your village safe.
Fences, on the other hand, are not so durable against Raiders, but they can help prevent wild animals from entering your barn and field. You can place fences around your crops to stop animals from eating them, and also around your barn to keep your cattle safe.
