As with regular roguelikes, you will play the DLC until you die, only to begin again. Each playthrough is called a ‘run’. You will also meet several NPCs and assist them in the course of the run, and one of them is Dani.

You can find Dani at the Foundry in Dókkerland, which is in the middle of the Niflheim realm. Dani will tell you that there are two workers that you need to rescue as part of your task. They were taken from Sani when the rope lines that they were working on were destroyed, and you must return them.

In order to complete the task, you will need to find two keys in the realm. You have to find both of them in the same run and find Dani’s workers. Scan the area to make short work of finding the keys. Usually, they are found on the southeast part of the map, but the exact location is randomized. Once you have both the keys, you need to look for the location where the dwarves are trapped.

As you get close to the holding cage, Odin will make a comment on the trapped dwarves and you will know that you have arrived at the correct place. Use the keys that you have found to free the dwarves, and you will have completed the Dark Dealings quest.
