Prisoner Mode Gameplay in Modern Warfare 2
If you are placed in the Attackers group, your job would be to get hold of the two prisoners at the spawn point and get them back to the extraction site or hold on to them till the round ends. You will also be up against the Defenders group, who will be guarding the prisoner or would try to get them back if the Attackers got them. Whoever has the prisoner will have limited movement, and they can only use their sidearms and nothing else. They cannot climb, sprint, or use melee weapons for defense. But they can take advantage of the UVA Ping on the hostage to know where their enemies are.
Any downed teammate, especially the one holding the hostage, can be revived by other teammates. There are unlimited revive options, so you can revive your teammates an infinite amount of times. But the catch is that each teammate can only be revived one time during the entire match. So you should keep that in mind before you step foot in Prisoner Rescue mode.
How to Earn Points and XP in Prisoner Mode in Modern Warfare 2
Besides the general gameplay of Prisoner Rescue mode, there are some ways you can earn some points.
- 50 Points can be earned by the Defending team every time they can retain a prisoner from getting extracted.
- Any successful holding of the hostage by the Attacking team till the round ends or taken to the extraction point will earn 100 Points.
- If the Attacking team eliminates all the Defenders without touching a prisoner, they will get 50 points.
Any team that gets 500 points first will be declared the winner of that match.
Besides earning points, you can also earn XP by performing the following tasks.
- Attackers: carrying prisoners/ extracting
- Defenders: preventing or defeating Attackers from carrying target prisoners
- Both teams: reviving squadmates
