How To Kill Friedrich Kummler in Occupied Residence Mission—Sniper Elite 5
While you can kill Kummler with a gun, using the chandelier to crush him will help unlock a bonus weapon, the K98k. Here we will see how to go about it in Sniper Elite 5.
The second mission in Sniper Elite 5, called Occupied Residence, will task you with eliminating Friedrich Kummler. This mission is exceptionally tough since Kummler is always surrounded by other officers and bodyguards. To take him out, you will have to head over to the Château Estate’s Ballroom. You can find the Estate north of the map. You will have to head here from the south, which is your spawn point, but before you do, it is best to carry weapons with silencers on it. Make your way stealthily till you reach the Château Courtyard in the northwest. You can use your binoculars to keep an eye on enemies, and your Focus skills to see who is behind the walls. Use the northeast entrance to the Estate to get inside undetected. This will also lead you to the first floor, directly above where Kummler is.
Once you have made it inside, use the wooden fencing as cover till you can reach a vantage point without being seen. Use your binoculars again to identify your target. You will have to wait for him to move to the center of the room, right below the chandelier, before you can spring into action. When Kummler gets close to the table, use your sniper gun to take out the chain holding the chandelier. You can hold your breath to make your aim more accurate. While you can use the lever box on the wall to bring down the chandelier, using your sniper will give you the bonus reward. Whichever method you choose, it will make the chandelier fall on him, killing him. With this, you can complete your mission and earn the K98k sniper rifle.
