Published by Bethesda Softworks, Tango Gameworks’s forthcoming horror video game Ghostwire: Tokyo is much looked forward to by fans. This is a game with both action-adventure and first-person perspective features, and the player needs to navigate the streets of Tokyo, where they need to use their superhuman abilities to kill monsters. Almost all of the human residents of Shibuya have disappeared, and players need to pick up the clues on the events preceding it. In spite of all the starkness of it, there are several characters to be found in the game that can help you in your quest. This guide will take you through the process of how to interact with Tengu in Ghostwire: Tokyo.
What to Do with Tengu in Ghostwire: Tokyo
As you play the game, you will come across several spirits and visitors which seem friendly. These are Yokai, which are essentially legendary ghosts, monsters, and spirits of Japanese origin, and you can find them throughout the city. They can be helpful to your main quest, and one of the Yokai you will come across is Tengu.

Tengu will appear to you as a ghost, so you might be spooked out at first and try to attack them. However, they will not attack you back and you will realise they’re not aggressive monsters like the others. Yokai can be extremely helpful, so it’s a good idea to talk to them and figure out what they want. Tengu will be found flying around or levitating in a spot, and usually indicate that there is something worth noticing in the location. You can target the Tengu by interacting with them, and hold down the action key to grapple up to where they are. You will most probably find some hidden treasure or other rewards if you target their location.
While Tengu might be hard to find, they have a characteristic sound that you’ll slowly become familiar with, and later in the game, you can even summon a Tengu who can assist you in gameplay.
