Ghostwire: Tokyo has several missions that you will need to complete in order to progress in the game. This guide will take you through the process of how to complete the Zashiki-Warashi Side Mission in Ghostwire: Tokyo.
Zashiki-Warashi Side Mission Guide in Ghostwire: Tokyo
You will come across the Zashiki-Warashi mission when you find the spirit of an old woman who needs help to rescue her missing child, called a Zashiki-warashi, which loosely translates to “parlor child”. The house where the child is lost is the one in front of which the woman is standing, so this might make things easier for you. However, the path inside won’t be as simple.

Once you enter the house, you will need to follow the corridor and stick to the right. You will find a piece of paper which is a clue, placed on a table in the corner. This will reveal that the landlord has hidden a key somewhere in the house. To find it, go back the way you walked in and follow the left path this time. There is a room with a dark mark on the wall opposite the glass-paneled door. You will have to use your Spectral Vision to reveal an altar containing the key.
Head to the living room in the front section of the house where you will find a wall cabinet. Open it to find the lockbox which you can open with the key you just found. There is a map inside with the floor plan of the current house, where you will unearth a chilling secret. One of the rooms has been scribbled out.
You need to approach the door to the apparently vanished room according to the map, which is inside a tatami room with two closets on the left wall. Use your Spectral vision to reveal a sliding door on your right. It will show you a children’s bedroom containing the vengeful spirit of the landlord. You will have to defeat the landlord to rescue the child, which you can do by performing a Hand Seal.

Once the landlord has been destroyed, you can approach the back of the room to place the rice crackers the old lady gave you in a bowl. This will summon the Zashiki-warashi and complete the toughest parts of the quest. Now you just need to head outside and interact with the old woman to complete the quest and claim your final rewards.
