Atomic Heart is released only two days back, and players have already started grinding through the game to explore and enjoy the gameplay. If you have progressed some further, you are aware that the entire Facility has tons of cameras flying here and there, and they not only capture footage but attack you with rays. This guide will help you know how you can disable the HAWK System in Atomic Heart.
Atomic Heart HAWK System- How to Unlock and Disable It?
In Atomic Heart, there is a tight security system installed in the Facility you are roaming around. The Dandelion CCTV cameras are installed every here and there; if they capture you coming, they send alerts to the robots. The HAWK system is the controller of these CCTV cameras that connects these cameras. Though the Dandelion Cameras can be easily disabled temporarily using SHOK, that’s not a permanent solution to the problem. So, if you somehow disable the HAWK System, it will be easier for you to roam around freely.
The HAWK system can be disabled from the Security Booth, but they are not accessible until you unlock them. To unlock the Security Booths, players first need to find a Camera Terminal. Neither Security Booths nor the Camera Terminal is challenging to find in an area. The Terminals look similar to the Volan towers. Take the elevator and go up to the machine at the top. Interact with it to open the Security Booth door.
Go to the Security Booth, and interact with the machine inside. Generally, Security Booths are located close to the Camera Terminal. You can check the below image to find out the booth-
Once you are inside a booth, you’ll get an option saying, Overload Relay. Select the option; a drone from your gloves will overload the system, causing the wind turbines to explode. It will disable the Dandelion Cameras and make it safer for you to roam around the area.
As soon as you disable the HAWK System, the robots all stop working. They won’t attack you if you don’t attack them. However, this won’t lasts forever. You have a maximum of 15 minutes before the wind turbines are repaired and the system restarts. So, explore the area within this time and complete missions.
That’s all you need to know about how to disable HAWK System in Atomic Heart. Though disabling the Dandelion Cameras temporarily will help you progress, it’s still risky because there is more than one Dandelion Camera roaming at a location. Therefore, disabling the HAWK System of an area will be much more beneficial.
