There is a side activity where you will need to hunt down a Kappa and get the Magatama from its body, which is the spirit that you can absorb using your elemental powers. You can start this quest called the Kappa hunting mission which will reward you with a Magatama and other quest rewards.
The first thing you’ll need to do to trigger this mission is to get to the lower levels of Shibuya Kageria Retail Complex which is close to the main section of the mall. There is a spirit here waiting for you that you need to interact with. You will come to know that the location is called the Kappa Swamp, where Kappas are notorious for causing mischief. As the spirit will tell you, you have to hunt one of them as part of the mission.
Once the dialogue is over, you can head to the staircase to climb it, which will lead you to your next location. There is a waterbody with a bridge running through it where you notice a boy’s spirit. Talk to him to get a hint on how to capture a Kappa—which is through the usage of cucumbers. You need to plant it as bait and wait patiently for the Kappa to come to it.
Buy a cucumber from the nearby shops and travel to the waterbody again to place it as bait. When the Kappa comes, you will need to wait for them to start eating. While it is distracted you can climb up from behind the creature to absorb its energy and gain Magatama. Once you’ve done so, you will have successfully completed the Kappa hunt.
