Forthcoming RPG Elden Ring releases on 25th February, much-awaited by the fans. There are numerous bosses that the player needs to defeat, and it’s a good idea to get ahead of the game while you can. This guide will take you through the process of beating Pumpkin Head in Elden Ring.
How to Kill Pumpkin Head in Elden Ring
This is a hidden boss, and completely optional. However, the rewards you get for defeating Pumpkin Head are pretty legendary. 1000 Runes, the Pumpkin Helm, and a Site of Grace are some of the things you’ll obtain if you manage to kill this boss monster. It’s not easy though.

First, you’re going to have to look for the Pumpkin Head. Head to the Post Town Remains which is found in the east side of the map. There are many aggressive plants on the terrain, but they’re easily defeated. In the main section of the Remains, there’s a staircase leading down to the cellar. It’s blocked by a barricade but you can jump over it using a double jump.
Offensive Strategy
Since the fight occurs in a cramped space, you won’t have much wiggle space. It’s the best option to attack with melee, so make use of your combat skills. Make sure you get a hit in between each of their attacks.
Circling around the monster is a good way to get him on his feet and try to attack you. Once they do, block them or parry to stagger the boss, and land a critical hit.
You can summon Wolves to distract the Pumpkin Head while you take them out. Attacking from behind is a good option as they’re going to take damage quicker that way.
Defensive Strategy
Keep your consumables close, and remember that there’s a Site of Grace nearby so you can quickly run to it with your horse Torrent in case you need a refill on Flasks.
Having a strong shield is immensely helpful as you can block the Pumpkin Head’s hefty blows and strike back while they recover.
Bosses can be hard to defeat, but with a little bit of help you’re well on your way to finishing the game. Check out our guide on How to Beat Flying Dragon Agheel in Elden Ring.
