God of War is a popular gaming series that mainly focuses on Greek mythology, but suddenly, in the 4th installment of this series, the main character Kratos is shifted to Midgard, and the actions and events of the game also revolve around this area. When players discovered it, they were surprised and tried to find out its reason.
This guide will find out how Kratos got to Midgard in God of War.
Kratos in Midgard – How to Got there?
We’ve already said that God of War is mainly focused on Greek Mythology, but suddenly, the last installment shifted to Norse Legends, and the settings also changed to Midgard. It is not at all surprising that players will ask the reason for this shifting. The previous installment ends with a massive flood, and now this installment confirms that Kratos had survived and made a new life for himself. A considerate amount of in-game time has passed in between these two games.
In this installment of God of War, the story begins with Kratos’ wife Faye’s passing away and leaving him and his son to survive in the hostile world. The main objective of this game is to go to the highest peak in the Nine Realms to spread Faye’s ashes, and during this journey, both the father and the son encounter different adventures and solve the mysteries of Norse Legends.
Several signs indicate that Kratos was brought to Midgard probably by Skol, Hati, and Fenrir, the three wolves. It was the idea of Faye and Tyr to take Kratos to Midgard because they required some strong and brave hero to save the Nine Realms from the rage of gods. Therefore, the “Woman behind the beasts,” Faye, instructed the three wolves to bring Kratos to Midgard.
Though Faye was not a God, she used to work with Tyr to prevent the god from killing the giants. Therefore, it is possible that she took Fenrir, Skol, and Hati out of Asgard so that they could bring Kratos, who had proved his skills and bravery, to Scandinavia.
That’s the theory behind Kratos’ coming to Midgard. If you are curious about how Kratos came to Midgard, check out our guide to get help.
