When you are starting a new chapter, there will be a shortcut scene and the location specified, and toward the end of the level there will be a boss fight, which signifies the end of the chapter. This cycle repeats for each chapter, starting with a cut scene and ending with a boss fight. You will also know you are heading to the next chapter by the title showing up on the screen.
To unlock the option for Chapter Selection, you will have to beat the entire game at least once to get this feature. Once you have the Chapter Selection unlocked, you can select whichever chapter you wish to play again. You can also change chapters mid-game, by pausing the game and going to System, then clicking on Chapter Selection. Besides selecting which chapter to revisit, you can also play in any other difficulty, including Hard Mode. You can change difficulty for any chapter you wish, and it doesn’t have to be in order.
