The mini-map can help you with directions instead of always checking out the full sized map. The mini-map’s handy feature is that it stays on screen. If you cannot find the mini-map on your screen, there are a few things you can do to enable it. Pressing the L2 button on your controller will bring up the mini-map feature. If you want to toggle between the mini-map and the directional map, you can press the L2 button again. Pressing the button one last time will disable the map feature on screen.
There are two types of maps you can place on screen. One is the regular mini-map, which is found in the top right corner of your screen. The other is a directional map, which just points in the direction you need to go, similar to a waypoint map. With the L2 button, you can turn on any of the maps, or disable it entirely.
