Earlier we had released a set of leaked Sumeru enemies and now we finally have the official beta icons for the enemies we’re facing in 3.0 Sumeru. There are some newer enemies here which we don’t know the exact names yet but what we do know is a bit about their combat abilities. Overall Sumeru’s enemies seem to require skill in beating efficiently and players will have to optimize their elemental reactions on the field to get the best of their Dendro characters and to beat these new enemies easily.
All Enemy Icons in Genshin Impact 3.0
The above picture shows us all the enemies we’re expected to face in Genshin Impact 3.0 when Sumeru first drops. A lot of these have been leaked but there are also others we don’t quite know the names of. Below are our thoughts and opinions on these enemies.
Eremite Mobs
As for humanoid enemies, we’ll have Eremite mobs to deal with in Sumeru. There’s no mention of Desert Rouges so perhaps they are coming in future Sumeru updates which will concern the desert regions. The Eremite is a special Sumeru-origin assassin task force that carries out their duties and business all across Tevyat. While we do not know their fighting style they are likely to be similar to Treasure Hoarders going by their outfits.
Dendro Specter
We have one icon of what looks like a Dendro specter. Considering how annoying specters are since they were introduced, we can only expect this one to be stronger or at least more complicated to deal with. That said we also heard about the recent nerf to specters and other Inazuman enemies in Patch 2.8 so fingers crossed the Dendro specter will be less annoying.
Floating Fungi
These enemies were officially confirmed- without their name, in the recent Genshin 2.8 special program Livestream. These fungi are like floating specters and we don’t know how far their hp and defenses go. That said these fungi look cute and welcoming to fight and as mentioned in the Livestream will most likely have different drops depending on how they were killed.
These mobs have different forms which activate upon different elemental reactions and they drop different materials depending on which form they were killed in and using which elemental reaction or application. For 3.0, it seems we’re getting all elemental versions of this monster except the Dendro one.
Ruin Gargoyle
As per our leaks, we’re getting this enemy in 3.0 Sumeru. We finally get to see their icon in-game and frankly it looks similar to other ruin enemies so we’re in for a confusing grinding session if any of our Sumerian characters and weapons need it.
Mushroom Raptor
This monster has already been predicted by our leaks and we’re excited to face this new Vishap-like monster in Sumeru. Thankfully these are supposed to be found alone in the wild without assisting mobs so players can fight one and know their attack patterns in peace. This will be a purely Dendro-based enemy and will have Dendro attacks so players can see how Dendro affects the characters in combat.
Jadeplume Terrorshrooms
These floating monsters (top left) are a little bigger than the Floating Fungis and seem like their step-ups. These are aerial enemies with aerial attacks and since they are relatively big, players should have no problem dealing with them. We still don’t know their flight patterns but for now, they seem to keep enough distance between our characters and themselves, and thus, for now, players can prepare their catalyst DPSs to fight these.
Electro Regisvine
We already knew this monster was coming in Update 3.0 Sumeru and it’s no surprise it’s in the Beta test already. Players are expecting this boss to be easy to beat like its predecessors who’ve become test subjects for testing out the damage of our built characters. We can still again experience the joy of beating one of these again as we used to in the early game. For now, this is the only boss confirmed to be coming in Sumeru as it was confirmed even in the Sneak Peek trailer on Youtube.
Players can once again experience new enemies to beat in Sumeru and with the Dendro element being added to the game, it hopefully won’t be as easy beating them as it was when we first entered Sumeru. For veteran players, they can truly relive the joy of learning new mechanics and enemy attack patterns when Sumeru finally drops.
