Final Fantasy XIV is one of the biggest MMORPGs that the gaming industry has seen in a long, long time. The game was directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida. The game was first published for PC and PlayStation 3 on the 13th of August 2013. After the horrible failure of its predecessor in 2010. One thing to mention here is that this is one of the few games with native support for macOS.
The game is set in an imaginary realm of Eorzea and revolves around the main character defending the land of Eorzea from the impending doom of attack by the Garlean Empire hailing from the North. The game resumes from the point where the primal dragon Bahamut has escaped its prison and quite frankly set the world on fire.
Because of such a solid storyline, the game has amassed a very positive reception and very good criticism overall. By 2021 the game had approximately 25 million registered gamers playing this game.
