Destiny 2 is one of the most famous first-person shooter-looter online-only games. It was launched after the massive success of Destiny. Whether you are playing Destiny or Destiny 2, errors are common, this is due to the game’s requirement of maintaining a steady internet connection. Ever since the launch of the game, the Destiny 2 error code Newt is among the initial errors that users encountered and it still persists today.

Every once in a while when you are on your merry way, this error can kick you out of the game. However, if you encounter this error, there is nothing to worry about. This is a simple problem that can be resolved by a simple restart of the system, whether console or PC.

Fix 1: Ensure you have a Steady Connection

Suspend any bandwidth-intensive tasks such as video streaming, file sharing, etc. The connection should not be using multiple devices that reduce the bandwidth for the game.

Fix3: Delete Cache on Console

Sometimes old cache files can also cause the connection to suspend leading to this error. However, this is rare, but clearing the cache is worth a try. To clear the cache, follow the below steps:

  1. Power down the console.
  2. Remove the power cord from the console and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Connect the power cables and restart the console

Fix 4: Wait out the Storm

If the Bungie server is under maintenance and restarting the system did not work, try again after a few hours or the next day and the game should work fine.
