To bring in the New Year, the Final Fantasy team uploaded a special illustration, as well as messages from the producers of various Final Fantasy titles. The post was uploaded on their Final Fantasy Portal, and one of the messages caught a lot of fans’ attention.
The first message to greet fans for New Year is from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Producer Yoshinori Kitase, who spoke about the development of FFVII Rebirth. “I’m sure many of your collective imaginations are running wild trying to picture how we’ll recreate some of the game’s most iconic scenes, and we’ll have more to share about that when the time is right,” the post detailed.
There was also another line, where Kitase spoke about another title that is unrelated to FFVII Rebirth. No more details were shared, but Kitase promised to make 2023 the “most exciting year yet”. Fans speculate that it could be another remake, but so far the Final Fantasy team has been tight-lipped about the potential new title.
There was also word from Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida, who assured fans that they are putting the finishing touches to wrap up the latest title. There will also be a Final Fantasy Fan Festival to celebrate their upcoming 10th anniversary, and hopefully, it will be a live, in-person event for fans all over the world to join in.
